[Help] Trying to build a very (very) rudimentary Peggle clone

I am trying to build a very (very) rudimentary Peggle clone. I am unsure where to start with this. The game will be part of an information design project that I started a few months ago for school. I basically need the following to happen (also attached): shoot a ball from the top of the screen, ball bounces off of pegs, pegs that are touched turn lighter shade of gray, the info that is attributed to that peg will pop up in the left margin, and the ball will drop off screen once it makes it way to the bottom.

I have limited flash and actionscript experience. I have cs3 as well as cs4 demo. I am a quick study. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this project?

    Thanks

look at any breakout tutorial, for the ball shooting ,bouncing codes, and collision codes.....from there on it's just replacing bricks with pegs, and displaying text in a dynamic textbox!

Thanks bluemagic! I have ended up going with a breakout clone instead. More my skill level I am using this as my base code, http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Games...4258/index.php

One more question, can I run e4x or something comparable for dynamic text in cs3 with actionscript 1.0?
