    different behaviour of copy shapes

    Hi everybody,
I confess that I am new to Koolmoves, therefore my question is simple.
I have created a shape which took some work. Since I needed 2 instances of it, i copied it and pasted. What happens is the following:
If the first shape has a solid colour I can change the colour of the second (the copy) shape as I need.
If the first shape has a gradient colour any change in the copy automatically makes the original to automatically take the same changes thus creating 2 identical coloured shapes. This is NOT what I want but as beginner the question is: Is this normal?
I have KM 7.22 and this is not about AS
    thank you in advance

Did you copy and paste to the same frame? Is the shape a symbol (see properties popup)? If you completely independent shapes, use Paste Shapes Complete Copy.

    problem solved

Thank you very much Bob for your suggestion.
Indeed everything works just fine now.
The shape was created using Inkscape and exported as SVG file.
