    'bomber' Beazley ...Nice choice. He has lots of savvy and is well respected in australia (and in the USA if one believes what one reads).

    I can't say that he has started off on the right foot for me. I was hoping that 'bomber' was the equivalent of 'bombshell' and that Kim was a she.

    he couldnt lead though, as far as i remember when he was a leader his party was a bit disorganized. wasnt it? either that or he was up against howard during iraq war times, lost and kinda disappeared

    Yes, he was not a great success at being leader of the Labor party, but being leader of an opposition party is not an enviable, nor generally very long-term, position here.

    The problem with good politicians is that they are generally back-stabbed by bad ones or history is demanding other leadership styles, and once Sep11 happened his party and he, never stood a chance.

    But I reckon he will be a great ambassador for us. At least he can string more than a few words together and have them makes some sense.

    oh great, now the bot scripts that say stuff like "searched the topic, agrees with your blog" posts in forums now!?

    I kill about 500 of these a day on my blog. Guess what happens next...

    Great. Kim should be able to do a lot politically as Ambassador by attending cocktail parties and marching in parades.

    I doubt he will march in many parades, but he should be ok at cocktail parties...and lots of business is done at cocktail parties.

    besides, you read what banned guybot said "I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog" ....so most people will agree with me because that spam says so.

    Congrats on the appointment, though I hardly follow the politics down under.. but I initially thought that this was to show some sort of beachwear shots of Kim of a different gender though. Pardon my misjudgement, eh?
