How do you think this was done?

I would really like to create an effect like the background fly in found on http://www.templatemonster.com/websi...tes/19545.html. Does anyone know how this is created (ie Swift3D, Aftereffects, Flash CS4 3D, etc)? I could model it in 3D Studio Max but I'm guessing there is an easier way. I've tried looking for similar tutorials but I haven't had any luck finding anything like it.

I've seen similar "paper" fly-in animations before and I know we've had a few posts on the forums in the past, and I think we pretty much determined it was just frame-by-frame shape animation by someone with excellent spatial design and we even tried our hand at a few versions...

I've gotten kind of close using aftereffects and animating using a CC Cylinder effect. It's not quite as good, but it's going to work if I can't find anything else.
