[RESOLVED] HELP: cant develop Button action

I cannot seem to get the Object Actions Panel to display or I just cannot see it for some reason. I am trying to add ActionScript for a button. HELP!
RESOLVED: I moved the status/toolbar from the bottom to the side and lo and behold THERS MY Object Panel. Thanks to all who cared and shared!

When you open Flash, first maximize the window it's displayed in, then....
Have you tried (from the Flash menu) Window, then click Actions? or just press F9?

Thanks, yes, I did that but the object actions panel window doesn't appear. I need it so i can enter actionscript to the Down state of my button.

I don't know for sure but try this:
From the Flash menu, Window, Workspace Layout, Default.
See if that gets it back.

I dont have that feature. im working with FLASH5, believe it or not. Anything similar in this version?
