    (AS2) consecutive fade in...

just after a little code snipet...

need to fade in 16 movieclips consecutivley.
    they're named mc_1, mc_2, mc_3 etc.

so i need the alpha on mc_1 to fade from 0 to 100 over 12 frames,
then the same to happen to mc_2 and then mc_3 etc untill they have all faded in.

    can anyone help...

    thanks!

But its meaningless. And 100 percently unnecessary...
    Use motion tweening.
With your way it's much more work to write a pointless script for this.

much more hassle to use motion tweening and not very flexible ..what if tomorrow he wants to do it for 100 movieclips?

I would recommend looking at the Tween class:

remember to look at onMotionFinished for triggering the next movieclip tween
