Anyway to get a sticky thread on XML Gallery and the likes ?
Not being nasty , its just I must have answered the , ' Help , how do I build an image gallery using XML ' question a hundred times , as I am sure a lot of you have. It's getting to the point where I see people who legitimately need help , but wait days for responses regarding these matters , because quite frankly , I think everyone is just bored to tears answering them. Well , I know I am. Not to mention , the questions most often involve using some pre existing as2 tutorial or some other deprecated procedure. I don't know if people aren't searching the forums properly before posting questions or what, but maybe it would be a good idea to at least compile a list of three or four , already answered threads on this subject , and just put it as a sticky thread in the as3 forum. I mean is this just me , do you guys agree , disagree ?

I do agree that this topic could really use a stock answer. Nominate a few threads or sites to link and I'll talk with the other mods about a sticky.

here are a few decent ones i found right here in flashkit
http://board.flashkit.com/board/show...ge+gallery+xml
http://board.flashkit.com/board/show...=xml+slideshow
http://board.flashkit.com/board/show...ge+gallery+xml
they cover the gamut of creating xml , formatting xml , loading xml , and setting up stage objects. Just as an option , I can even type up a synopsis of the major points , with some primitive example to include in the thread. I'm sure some of the senior members and mod's can chime in as well.

I've created a sticky for faqs about common tasks. At the moment it is an open thread, but that may change. If you'd like to post your synopsis in that thread, go for it.
