Shadows for transparent animations?
Hi all
Long time since I've used Koolmoves and been on here.
We're looking to do a video of someone speaking in front of a green screen soon. I would like to know if once I convert the video to a FLV file in AnyVideoConverter, I can bring the FLV into Koolmoves, remove the green chroma and put a drop shadow behind the person speaking? Is that possible, or would you suggest another way of doing it? I really would like to upgrade to Koolmoves and do it in there...
Thanks heaps
Carl

You can do both with KoolMoves . You will need some help getting set up to remove the green chroma. But it is easy to put a drop shadow behind the person with a flash 8 filter.

That's great news and thanks! Will post again when I'm ready.

If you insert a flv / mp4 video into your project using the GUI and export as Flash 9 or 10, there's a setChromaKey function you can use on the video.
Here's an example
http://www.waterlijn.info/km/as3/ChromaKeyTest2.html
Check the chroma keying checkbox to see it.
One you turned it on using the checkbox, you can play with the other parameters to see if the quality of the built in effect will do for you.

Exactly the thing I want to do but without shadow, thanks w.brants!

To add a shadow to Wilbert's example in KoolMoves:
1.) Select by clicking on "flv1" or whatever the FLV is named,
2.) Go to Effects > Flash 8 Filters,
3.) In the pop-up, click "+" and then "Drop Shadow",
4.) Then click "OK".
