    Academy Awards

    Did the Oscars go to the right people tonight? So far it seems to be true. Christoph Waltz deserved the Oscar for actor in supporting role, and The Cove deserved best documentary, at least in my opinion. What do you guys think?

    I'm quite pleased that Avatar didn't perform nearly as good as everyone was expecting. James Cameron is a c*ck and that movie was rubbish. Unobtainium? Please.

    Avatar won the appropriate awards. I can't really say it deserved best picture since I didn't see all the nominees but Hurt Locker sure as hell didn't deserve it. I completely fail to see the social relevance it's being hailed for. It just some dudes who do a job that shouldn't have to exist. District 9 sent a deeper message imo.

    Best actress, actor. Again didn't see all the entries but Streeps delivery in Julia and Julia was of the highest caliber I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure I'll be pissed off when I get around to seeing The Blind Side.

    The Hurt Locker didn't deserve all the attention it got. I saw it and can honestly say it was mediocre at best. I also agree that Avatar won a lot of the awards it deserved and it didn't deserve best picture but neither did Hurt Locker so...whatever.

    Did anyone else catch this? This was one of the times I was watching and was SO confused at what she was saying and why she was even there.
