Since you bring up the American revolution, you may know that one of the biggest actors in that cause was John Adams. John Adams who defended the British troops involved in the Boston Massacre.

The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking, and writing.

Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom.

Let us tenderly and kindly cherish, therefore, the means of knowledge. Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write.
