    It had a budget of $3.5 million. The Running Man, Robocop. The Predator came out that year and looked light-years more sophisticated in effects terms with a budget of $18 million. No blood hoses, etc.

    Evil Dead II was camp based on horror movie cheese of the previous 10 years.

    Are you saying that True Blood takes itself seriously? That's exactly why I enjoy it. It's a show that doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's just a wtf-was-that, not-much-to-think-about indulgence.
