Fade out - Fade in tutorial required
Hi all,
Haven't used Koolmoves for a long time due to other work commitments. Anyway I'm back and starting to do some web work again.
Right, I use version 6.2.0 and I've been trying to make a fade-out, fade-in movie using 3 photos. Well I can do it in a fashion but it does not work smoothly enough and jumps on change over to next photo. Also, I cannot get a nice change over from one photo to the next. Sort of, as one fades out, the next in fading in, so there is no definite end and start, if that makes sense.
Sorry, don't have example of what I've done as I binned them in disgust!
Could someone point me to a step by step tutorial for this action please.
Many thanks,
Koolsteve

Why don't you use the slide show wizard which has 150+ transitions between images.

Thanks Bob. I'll go have a look through them and see if there is something suitable. I should imagine so with 150+ transitions.

I agree with Bob's suggestion.
In the past I have used the Slideshow to do this. I use "fade smoothly" for the transistion, loop set to yes and navigation controls set to no. You can figure out cropping and scaling for what you want. I find that making the images the same size as the slide show works best. You can save the slide show as a swf and then import it into another project. Simple and it works good.

Thanks etuom, will be on to this today. I will post final efforts here when completed.

Well etuom, I followed your instructions and am well pleased with the result.

I don't proclaim to be a website designer by the way ;-)
Many thanks for your help,

very nice, subtle transistion. I had a video instructor in the Air Force who said "Don't overuse special effects. Otherwise they are no longer special". It was even to the point that we didn't want the audeince to even realize we had used an effect. Good job!

Thanks blanius and etuom for your positive comments.
Should have the site complete by end of week, so will be at:

Really do like Koolmoves - ideal for the less Flash techi person that I am.
Will be reading/viewing the tutorials for future jobs in pipeline.
All the best,
Koolsteve
