    eh, the script wasnt even the same as the player actionscript. and it wasnt the effect i was looking for. sorry. the character just respawned at the starting point and then just died.

    change it then, i think you was looking for a code that fits your game perfect so you can just put it straight in ? well thats lazy, edit it so that when the player dies

    lives-- //its lives goes down 1
    player._x = 450; //respawn x
    player._y = 200; //respawn y


    it doesnt get much harder than that :s
