Exporting png sequences with alpha for Sprite Sheets
Im trying to create animations for use in sprite sheets for xna but am having some problems with exporting png seqeunces from flash with alpha.
I know that if everything is on the main timeline then using the export as png seqeunce with alpha works fine, but when there are movieclip symbols on the main timeline, which themselves are animations, the movie symbols simply remain at their first frames on export.
Is it possible to do what I am trying to do, using movieclip symbol animations on the main timeline and export with the alpha of the symbol intact and obviously playing.

To export video ghange MCs to graphic opbjects
For a movieclip you wish to animate, select movieclip and open the properties window. Change it from a movieclip to a graphic object. The graphic object will play on the main timeline according to the settings you give it as a graphic "play once," "loop," and "first," will modify how the movieclip plays. In CS4 the alpha values are preserved.
Your main timeline will also need to be more than one frame long, even though the movieclips on the timeline are, like, 20 frames long.
You may have to mess around a fair amount if you have moveclips inside movieclips. It can be easier to cut and paste them all onto the main timeline and convert them into graphics. My copy of Flash handles such situations... uh... unpredictably.
P.S. Yeah that's right, I spelled the word "opbjects." Screw you, FireFox spell-check!

Thankyou Gazaah, I'll be giving this a go very soon. I didn't actually realise you could create an animation within a graphic symbol, thats how noob I am
