Glamour model needs a website and freelance guy

Hi guys, I was recommended to this forum by one of my best friend's who is into all the internet stuff

I'm a glamour model based in UK and really believe in using the internet to promote myself and all the creative ways to do things with the internet. I had before a guy make me a site, nothing special just a pay for membership type of site to see my pics and it was pretty successful but the site was a mess and we got lots of spam and someone hacked the forum etc but it was good at the beginning. Anyways, I want to try something new after a friend of mine gave me some ideas.

I'm going to be doing quite a few ideas online and I want to come up with a new official website of mine with membership features and videos etc but first I want to do a minisite which is like a TEASER to my official one.

So I was talking to my friend and he explained to me flash and the way it works and showed me al the cool sites and I want to make a site similar to this one but obviously, a bit not as fancy but similar idea where you follow the lady around and do things -

    http://www.perrierbydita.com/

Now I'm doing a video shoot in the next week for this and I have the idea, will be similar to that site. All video footage will be supplied by me to the chosen designer/developer in what format you want it in.

I need someone who is good at flash and can make good quality, interesting animations/good effects. Notice at the beginning of that site also, the bubbles floating in the bottle as the preloader - that's a nice effect

So I'm looking for a good flash freelancer - then hopefully whoever I choose and also do my official site for me and various other promotions I want to do online.

At the moment I have a friend who is a designer but he can't code. He just can design in Photoshop and he is pretty good.

If interested, can you give me a really rough rate how much you would charge for what I asked - as in something like the site I linked above and then also say a rough timescale to do it in.

I hope I find someone I can work with - I'm open to someone in any location, just remember I'm in UK

    xx

Hi Morgan, I do bespoke branding and site work for high-end clients, and I'd be down to take something like this on. I've got a fair amount of experience in branching video stories without preload time (I wrote the former SexyPolitics.com before it was bought up by Fox). The Perrier site is high quality work, both in terms of the video and some of the effects. I didn't get through all of it 'cause it slowed down too much, but I'd guess they spent min. $100-150k on that shoot (which is really cheap for them when you think about it). The actual code of the site, other than the effects, isn't all that complicated. It seems like they have a second video stream they can access where everything is "lit" with the flash – I'd guess they shot it like that and then did all the dark and moody stuff in post production on the video. Unless they shot it twice. It's clever, anyway. But there isn't that much real interaction or branching going on so it's probably not that big a job in terms of new code, the focus is on making it look really glossy and world-class, which takes a subtle hand.

Contact me if you're interested. My rate is US$100/hr. I live in the south of France at the moment. You can call my cell at +33 664703209, or email josh (at) joshstrike (dot) com. I have the facility to edit video, but it's not my main line of work –*I try to focus on glossy Flash and graphics. If you provide all the video, and it all gets together and branches smoothly without my needing to edit it, I could put together a simplified but nice version of this in around 20 hrs. including server setup and some semi-original glossy effects... but to go full-on and give you a range of looks and options to choose from, and build it with completely original motion effects and texture throughout that match your personal style and be worthy of the brand you're trying to build, I would want to write some more complex effects from scratch and some original video bridging to make it play more smoothly than that slow Perrier site; it would then probably take more like 40-60 hours, depending on how much give-and-take you like to have in the creative process.

Good luck in your search. Would love to hear from you.
    Cheers,
    Josh

    OH, thanks Josh

Appreciate some of your comments you wrote, I actually know the guys behind the shoot and they didn't spend anything near that - but thanks your comments. Your rate is a bit more than my budget for this, your asking for roughly $2k which is out of my budget but I'll private message you shortly. Thanks x
