Bouncing flash off a reflector dish

Just trying the find quick and easy methods to do my lighting at a wedding tomorrow. Rather than using my softbox, I'm thinking of just getting someone to stand holding a reflector and a flash pointing at the reflector (a gold/silver disc reflector). It's much quicker and easier to move around than a softbox/stand setup.

Here's a quick sample I took (there's still shadows under the eyes but when I shoot adults, the angles will be different).

    What do you think?

Harsh shadow from the rope on her left arm so place people carefully. Other then that I think the quality of light is great.

    what reflector do you have?

It's just a calumet 32" gold/silver on one side, white on the other reflector.

Good spot on the shadow. Maybe this light is still a little harsh. Maybe I'll try reducing the power slightly and changing the distance from light to subject.

I think it's going to be sunny tomorrow so will probably just be using sunlight bounced off the reflector to fill in shadows from the direct sun but I think using the flash could still come int useful.

I can already tell after this engagement session I'm going to finally get that 5-1 reflector I've had my eye on.

Thanks for being the guinea pig for all the gear I want
