I didn't have alot of work today so I got round to converting my site with KM.
http://www.slwebdesign.co.uk
No fancy animations and I haven't taken advantage of layers as fwhilton has (mental note to play with that). Also not used sounds - that may improve navigation.
I've simply created one large swf with stops in the frames.
It took me about 6 hours using stock graphics.
Any comments would be appreciated? (good or bad - I've got broad shoulders)
load speeds on would be good to know.
cheers guys.

Degenerate and baise art thou.
About 2 to 3 seconds at 49333bps US East Cost
Good, needs a loading screen.
People get scared of blank boxes.
And, maybe some morphing, spinning, dancing,
logo for the HOME section.

I would like to include it on our examples page when you are ready.

Mighty Fine looking Page you have there. You may want to (or you may not want to) have the SWF fit the size of the page. You achieve this by setting all the height and width settings to 99% (100% if you don't care about NS Users- or set the Object's property to 100% but in the embedd code set it to 99% and you shouldn't have any problems).

I think your flash is good!
I see you are resizing it ot fit. Can I make a suggestion?
1) Set the background color of your annimation to Black. This way when you resize the white blocks won't show.
2) Use 99% for both your width and height. This will allow full size fitting. But don't worry, the flash will still porportionalty fit correctly.
Good Job!

KM website
Thanks for all the feedback guys
I've incorporated a text loader until I get round to creating a small movie for this, and put in a bit of animation on the home section - not sure about the morphing letters though??
Bob - I'd be happy for you to put it on the examples page when it's done. thanks.
Frank - thanks for the tip about the black background i've incorporated that.
Frank & Johnie - I tried using 99% for height & width but managed to get a white edge to the swf as if the background picture no longer fits. any ideas on this? I also noticed that if I use a smaller browser window and then drag it wider the same happens??
I noticed that yours doesn't do this Frank. I have used a jpg for the background image could this be the answer. ie. it won't scale when resized. What have you used Frank - is it a gradient?
I also noticed the blue shape at the top is doing the same.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me out.

Shaun,
you said> Frank & Johnie - I tried using 99% for height & width but managed to get a white edge to the swf as if the background picture no longer fits. any ideas on this? I also noticed that if I use a smaller browser window and then drag it wider the same happens??
That is what I was referring to when I said use a black background (or whatever color) color. In Koolmoves set your background color to black, this will get rid of the white spaces showing when you resize.
Thanks

Shaun...
Also, I made sure that my vector graphics fit the entire size of my "movie size". I mean they all fit inside and butting up against the gold line in KM.
I did have to use a white square object to fill in spaces that shown through.
As far as your patterned backgrount. Make sure that the square object it is in fits totally up aginst the gold lines in KM.
You understand what I mean? The movie size dictates that gold border line.
Thanks

That was a long night!
I've just won the 'muppet of the week award'
I was happy with graphics fitting the movie size. I'd changed my background colour and was messing for hours trying to get rid of the white boxes.
decided to sleep on it - it hit me this morning.
I'd only re-exported the swf, so the script code in the HTML page still had white background parameters for the swf file. DUH! , won't do that again will I.

Looks More Professional Now!
oh.. and by the way...
I wn that "muppet of the wek award" too....

Is it sufficiently finished for me to use it as an exmample? I like the new additions.

Bob please feel free to put it on the website - there will, as always, be some ongoing development but I am now promoting it as a live site.
Thanks again for the privilege.
