Flex question - weird maths result

I have a simple skeleton Application mxml file:

			import mx.events.FlexEvent;

			protected function application1_creationCompleteHandler(event:FlexEvent):void

The trace gives the result 3.5999999999999996 ... why? am i completely missing something?
