    website pages scamled

Hallo, (I meant website pages scrambled!)

I am building a website in flash 8 and I'm having a problem with the pages.

The pages get scrambled once I publish and test it for instance the one page shows and then the next and then another - all after another in rapid succession.

    I have the following layers:

    1. Background - 20 (Where layer stops)
    2. Template - 20 (home)
    3. Buttons 20 (the "20" layers will eventually change once the site grows bigger)
    4. page two- 2
    5. page thee - 11 (has 9 pages on its own)
    6. page four - 12

now, the pages only jump around ONCE I ADD PAGE 4 - which is a movie.

The movie is an .SWF and works fine on its own. The movieload tutorial is correct and works.

There are also buttons on page 4 with button commands - I removed them and tested the published website without the buttons but they continue to jump around.

    I hope someone can help.
    Thanks!

Can you provide an example? Hard to imagine from just the description you provided.
Some people are like Slinkies, not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

You should try to use another media sharing service, all the ads and the wait time can really put people off. I believe you are missing a few stop command. It works the first time because the template has a stop in it. After that you never run back to the first frame which is the only place I've found a stop command in it.

Of course, I may be getting a little lost in all of it....there are several repeat items and functions that could be minimize, especially the buttons. You seem to do the same thing over and over again.

thanks for your input, that helped somewhat, but not much....

which other media service are you talking about so that I can use that the next time...(I don't know what ads you are referring to and the waiting time really isn't THAT long, but I will keep your suggestion in mind)

as for the stops, I put stops in EVERYWHERE but that didn't work either.

Thanks for your input, though, at least you gave it a shot - much obliged.

    Nevermind, solved it!

    I solved the issue.

The problem was in one of my .swf's - it had the "set-interval" script in various sections of the movie: I just removed all of those and the problem was solved, no more jumping around!

I'm going to enjoy a rather large refreshment now, took me four days to solve that problem....(thanks to Big Resources!)
