    resolved

I have redone my web interface - didn't like the navigation. Some were saying it took to long to figure it out.

    Check out the update at...

    http://www.fwhilton.com/flash/home.html

    SPECS:
The main backdrop (w/my picture) is on level '0'
The flame is on level '1'
The pop-up menus are on level '2'
Content pages are on level '4'
The animated intro is on level '4' also
The "About" pop-up is on level '10' (menu MISC/About fwh..)

I think the "LEVEL" function is very powerful!! Works great for web interfaces, because instead of creating one or two big swf files, I create one swf per page. The levels will allow great expandability for animations per page.

I keep the backdrop page (w/my pict) visiable at all times, this way when I change pages, hopefully there will be no slow loading of content pages. The content pages do not have my picture and 'fwhilton.com' etc... I lay the content pages on top of level '0'

My beta web site uses a total of 33 swf files so far. But since I have alot more web pages on my real site (www.fwhilton.com) so creating all these swf's are nothing...

    BUT THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES!!!

    I think KOOLMOVES is COOL!!

    Thanks BOB!

    Hey....

My intro is not loading until I right click and turn the "Play" off!

    What's up with that?

    SEE ABOVE

    Thanks

    I figured it out!!

I am only using one tween on my main screen, so I had to put a stop movie command after my two other (flame and intro) swf files had loaded.

    Thanks anyways!

    Levels, that's Kool.
Are levels in the newest version?
If I bought an older version do I just enter the code for it so I don't have to buy an upgrade?

Levels (layers) are set when you do the action command "Load Movie". There is a small box to set the level.
Your main movie (when created) is on level '0' by default. You can load a movie into level '1' and it will play on top of the original movie.

When ever you assign a level to a current level, it replaces the current movie with a new one. Example...

One movie is on level '2', you load another movie on level two also. The 2nd movie replaces the first movie on level '2'.

This makes loading movies and endless option of effects.

If you look at my updated interface at http://www.fwhilton.com/flash/home.html

you will notice each time you click on a link at top I have loaded another flame on top of the original flame. I have my main flame on level 1, but load a 2nd flame on level 2, thus it looks like I'm using 4 flames, but yet it is one flame on different levels.

Just a note: I removed the drop down menus because with people using slower modems it can take 2-4 seconds to load the menu. Users expect drop down menus instantly not a delay. So you must remember this when creating drop down menus.

    Thanks
