[RESOLVED] Help With Mouse Follow Parallax Effect and external swf's

I just want to say that I am fairly experienced with AS2 because i'm used to visual design, but I am very new to as3. So I found a tutorial on a parallax effect and then tailored it to my needs. I have had previous websites where I loaded and unloaded swf's with AS3. But when I combine the scripts to load and unload external swf's with the parallax actionscript, My parallax mouse follow effect does not work. It is a lot to explain so I uploaded the .fla and all the files needed with a description of the problem. I'm really stumped here with what I am doing wrong. I did not include any script for adding the external swf's so you do not have to backtrack through my problems and you can show your way of doing it. Thanks so much for helping. I really appreciate it.

I could not include the movie player because of the file size so I included the actionscript file in the folder and where it is placed in the fla. I did this so you could check and see if it would cause any conflict.

The stage in the movie once loaded will be the parent stage. That may be the problem.

I'm not sure what you mean. I added the files so you can see whats going on.

I haven't opened your zip file, but based on cancerinform's comment, I think I may know the problem. If you don't have a clear delineation between your parent (or container) and the externally loaded SWF, then you will get code that executes in a strange way.

I will open it up and see what I can see.

I tried changing where the container would be and still no motion. I'm not sure I trust myself enough to completely rule that out though. I could have done it wrong. Would it allow the external swf to load still? Because They are loading in the correct place it's just that the motion stops when they load. I've tried a few different ways of loading them and still, it stops. I'm sure im just missing the structure. I think I might be doing it the inefficient way anyways. Can you give me an example of what I would have to put to direct it correctly? Would it be parent. (swf) ? That type of thing? Thanks so much for the help guys.

I also want to note that the zip file I uploaded is basically just the mouse follow effect, with 2 blank buttons that don't do anything. I wanted to see how someone else would go about making those buttons load the two external swfs and still keep the mouse follow effect going. It's just the framework of the site functions that I am trying to learn.

Ok so we have the situation fixed. You guys were right. I had nested symbols that were being confused which was causing the script to not work properly. Thank you guys so much for the help.
