I installed the new version (1.85). Now I can't assign an action, nor a sound to a button.

In the behavior-tab I can click on 'Actions' or on 'Sounds' but I can't do anything (typing or choosing something)

    What is wrong?

    Reinstalled 1.75, no problem there.

The problem is that in 1.85 I can't see the little '...' buttons on which I should click. For the optionbuttons (with an arrow) this is no problem. I can't see the arrow neither, but clicking on a option shows the list...

Version 1.85 doesnot have the "..." until you select that property. Just double click the righ hand side of actions and it should work.

    I don't think that's the problem.
I can click, doubleclick, tripleclick everywhere I want, I don't get the actions...

In my opinion, it's a bug...

If actions are greyed out, you need to set "Is Interactive" to yes. We changed in 1.85, "Is a Button" to "Is Interactive".

It will change in the next version in preparation for movie clips to something like "Type" with 4 choices: something like morphable shape (we need a better term), graphic symbol, button, and eventually movie clip.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I know what he is talking about...

It has to do with selecting an object...

    Bob.. this is a bug!

I found that I have to de-select my text object then re-select it to set the symbol, interactive etc...

This only happens once an awhile, i would look into it.

    Thanks

I fixed it for the next version. As mentioned, de-selecting and reselecting is a work-around to the bug.

    Sorry, still no luck.

It's no problem setting the shape interactive. The problem remains it's impossible choosing an action.

    Selecting, deselecting, nothing helps.

The same thing happens with all the choices ending on '...', such as 'Line Color'

It only seems to happen in the second and third tab. In the first tab I can see a little piece of the '...' button, and I can choose it.

But then again in the first tab I can't see all the choices (such as the 'Action' and 'Sound' choices...)

What monitor resolution are you using? Are you using large fonts and what is the percent? In the first tab, aren't you getting a vertical scroll bar? I did test the properties dialog with 3 different settings. It would help me if you could send a screen capture of the dialog to [email protected].

Is the grey half on the left of the popup with the labels much larger than the white half on the right with the values? The line separating the two halves can be moved by dragging or clicking I am not sure which. When I get a better clue as why this is messing you up and not others, I will make a new version for you with the fix.

    - Resolution: 1280 * 1024 (But I also tried other resolutions, f.e. 800 x 600) I have a Matrox Mullenium G450 adapter. I'm using smaal fonts. (96 dpi)

    - I don't see the vertical scrolbar...

    - I also tried to move the separator line. This is possible, but it doesn't change anything.

I will send you the screencapture...

    Thanks in advance!

I will try to make the popup resizeable. That should help. It was a requested feature anyway.

A screen capture will help a lot.
