It led to a few books, one I was actually listed as a co-author and many others as a unlisted technical writer; made many connections and a few long-lasting friendships and audiences with companies that I'd never thought would heed a word that I had to say to long-standing projects (found out one project I did in 2010 is still in use today!) that have included members that were far smarter than I ever could have been to resolve and complete those aforementioned projects.

16 friggin' years... wow. Anyway, thought I'd share while reminiscing and in anticipation of my 16th year anniversary. Wow indeed.
Still here to celebrate your 25-year Anniversary, big guy?

Lost access to my account, so registered this one so I can also say.. I MISS THE OLD FLASHKIT DAYS!!!

Just signed up to another community that has links back to Flash and it nudged me to pop back here and reminisce.

Nice to see its still going, keep saying I should sort out my old account and make a concious effort to re-engage but life always has a way of pushing that as a priority down the list of things to do.

Can also say FlashKit was also the catalyst that kick started my career as a developer. Including spending 7 years lecturing UK degrees students specialising in Flash/Flex/AIR/Actionscript through heading dev teams in agencies and running my own business.

Thank you FlashKit but also thank you Gerbick, you were an inspiration along with others here on FlashKit, still think of you all.

Flash is also not really that active on Newgrounds either, I go on that site all of the time, I rarely ever see new flash stuff being uploaded, it's all either: HTML5, Unity, or Scratch and it's now only relevant there for a yearly contest. I don't really see much modern flash media in general, I know Flashzone is still there, I also still use flash on my sites and games, but i'm not entirely sure about anywhere else.

Speaking of Flash, this year Flash will be 30 years old, wow, just wow.

EDIT: Whoops! I forgot to click reply to the post above me
