background music over several scenes

hi!

im not exactly sure how to do this...

i have a pretty big movie (its to run off a cd), composed inside several scenes.

im trying to get an mp3 play in the bg througout the whole movie (to load and autoplay when the movie starts, and loop indefinitely). but, i also want to add a music on/off button, so that, obviously, if someone hates the music, they can shut it off. but, if they get lonely, they can bring it back

my question is... how do i set this up on several scenes?

if i place it in a movie clip, and have the music toggle button on every scene, wont the song start over when you load up every new scene?

can someone walk me thru this? my head'll explode

Create a separate movie that includes your soundtrack (soundtrack.swf) Import your mp3 into that movie. In your main movie create a soundtrack layer that loads your movie into your scene (load movie action). Give it a level of say 10. Your toggle button should be given the unload movie 10 to unload the soundtrack. Your soundtrack should run across you scenes unless turned off. Turn the track on with an on button loading the track again.

ok.. i messed around with this for awhile, but, ... i have to admit, im clueless with this "level 10" stuff.
