I'm not afraid
I've looked over dice.com and I'm curious about something.
It seems that Dice.com is a listing of solely part-time/
full-time jobs. Would it be possible to create a board for
individual freelance projects here on Flashkit? Most of the
posts on the old Jobs boards were for this type anyway,
and it in no way could be considered competition to
dice.com as they do not offer this.
Any Ideas/Comments?

i agree, unfortunately dice.com doesn't seem to offer the same opportunities that the flash job board did. Especially for the remote-employment market. why did the job board have to close completely? a lack of moderators or a sponsorship deal?

There are lots of freelance sites. The biggest is http://www.eLance.com although they are about to begin charging a fee. Do a google search for sites like that and you'll come up with a ton of them.

yeah but specific to flash and the users of this board? I don't think so. How many users (ex-users) of those boards will use dice.com.
NONE. its US based for permanent jobs and there aint much flash. Most of the jobs are reaped from other job sites anyway so are outdated, old, generally well applied for. In my opinion it would have been a much better idea to just plaster the jobs boards with links to dice.com, it would have received more hits and we'd just have to put up with a minor intrusion into our beloved community.

And more importantly for the bean counters would have been more efective. Like I've mentioned in another post, it was a bad marketing move. Unfortunately will probably take them too long, and maybe it will be too late (ie. Flashkit will be superceded by another Flash site), before they realise. The bigger the company the slower they often are to move on the obvious.
Cheers
