We had one of servers upgraded to a much more powerful box today, hopefully we will all notice some speed increases. BTW, I found out the servers are located in Newark, New Jersey today.

Certainly was down for the past few hours, transferring the parts of the site to a new box, it could be a little unreliable over the next few hours while the admins tweak the new box. I'm not sure if they have upgrade the DB server or one of the webservers.

Yah, I guess it would be nice to know where they are. I'm actually using hosting with Burlee, remember about a year ago FK was with them.
Hopefully some will notice a speed increase.

    Nice job Steve,

Actually FK did start on NT/IIS with a mix of asp and perl. Now all 3 servers are running RedHat Linux/Apache with PHP and ModPerl and a little C++ for spice. Also saw this post from Byron, he has been moving the board in the US all nite.

Its good to see we are moving on to a stable Web OS then!

No matter how much of a Windows Fan I am I would not trust a site this size to an NT box!
Or 10 NT Boxes for that matter!

Yeah, we have a list of things to do to this site that you would not believe. Lets hope the conferences are the success we believe they will be and then we will get down to the serious business of cranking up the dev on this site again
