    Hey there,

I've been struggling with how to make small font sizes look clean. I looked through the Macromedia Flash 5 manual and found a section on font symbols. To quote the book, "To use a font as a shared library item, you can crete a font symbol in the library window. This enables you to link to the font and use it in a flash movie without having to embed the font in the movie." Has anyone tried this to see if it works? I would try it mself, but to be honest, the book is not very clear on how to accomplish this, and I can't figure it out.

Let me know how to do this and I'll try it...

    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

Yup, I've done this .... (you need to to open the Library (CTRL + L) > OPTIONS > NEW FONT)

But this method is only useful if you create large multi SWF web sites using Flash.

It won't make the fonts any clearer at smaller sizes. Sorry!
