Which one to use? The help files never mention loadVariablesNum. However it's the only option under Actions.
Loading data from a TXT file works fine w/ loadVariablesNum but not w/ the other one. And I haven't gotten either to work w/ ASP. And the ASP is the most important one to me.

Well I figured out why my ASP wasn't working. Some HTML tags were getting in the way. I used the debugger to figure that out. That thing is great.
But still, what's the difference between the two types of loadVariables?

afaik, loadVariables loads into a target, loadVariablesNum loads into a _layer

I tried to loadVariables from a txt file, it worked in Flash4 but not in Flash5, I was kind of going crazy, but thanks for lightnening this problem for me..
loadVariablesNum works perfectly..
