Here is my problem. I have an animation that I want to loop at the end of another animation. ie...text fades in and then a logo with movement comes in at the end. I want the text stop and stay still but I want the logo to move independently. So basically my question is is there a way to stop the play head of the timeline but actually only pause it (much like directors code: go to the frame) Please help.
    Thanks,
    Brad

Yes there is a way of doing this..
at the frame u want to stop at right click on it and select properties. then click the + sighn and select go to.. (frame which ever frame u want it to stop on)
If u want to stop the animation and make it go back to a previous frame and play forward in a loop then do this process and at the bottom of properties click the GOTO AND PLAY box, and the animation will repeat...

When the timeline hits a keyfram where there is a moveclip
that movieclip starts to play unless there is a stop action in the m/c or an action is given to it..
As long asthere are inserted keyframes on the main timeline wherethe movieclip is...The movieclip will conmtinue to loop
So if you give a stop action on the main scene..
As long as there are keyframes on the layer where the m/c is..it will loop..

Ok but if I go to the frame that I want to stop at the play head stops there. The animation is of a ball going around a logo if I stop and loop that animation to go back on the time line will there be a hicup in the animation at all. Sorry just wondering.
