    Yet another "What would you do?" thread

    I happen to be an admin for a forum. At this forum there is one guy who had posted many, many helpful responses. One day, he decided to go through his 100's of posts and edit them to simply

    ..
    Shortly there after, he requested to be deleted (we instead banned him). Again, shortly thereafter, he rejoined and started posting again.

    Just a little bit ago, he called our company and threatened that he would leave the boards if he wasn't paid for his services (on the free board).

    So, me and the other admin heard about this and just started laughing. And I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions of what we should do with this guy.

    Laugh at him, then ban him. You have no contract for his 'services', correct? He may be a technical smarty, but a complete moron otherwise.

    We owe him nothing, it's a volentary system to sign up and post. I suggested that we charge him for use of our server instead.

    sorry but thats about the most insane thing, to post help, then tediously go through them later to edit them out, then demand money...

    counter act his move by telling him if he doesn't leave willingly never to return, then you will have no choice to pursue a legal charge of threatening a member of your staff...

    and in a blink of an eye...

    I know what I'd do if it happened on my forums, we'd all have a good laugh at his/her expense in the mod forum, then the pub and then I'd tell them to .. err .. bog off ..

    I like the idea of charging them for server use though.

    Yes, you should see the amount of threads pointing out your stupidity in the mod forum. It surpasses the amount of threads in the Pub. We're all happy you give us such hearty laughs.
